Liverpool

Brian McAnoy

Povall Worthington (NI) Managing Director, John Lee, explains, “Expansion back into the northwest has been part of Povall Worthington’s growth strategy for some time, but we needed to find an architect who not only had a first class track record in our business sector, but also fitted into our client focused culture. We feel it has been worth the wait, and are delighted to announce that Brian McAnoy will be heading up our Liverpool office, providing us with an enhanced presence on our existing clients’ projects, and giving us a much needed presence in the northwest”

The directors of Povall Worthington see this expansion into Liverpool as a great opportunity to further represent their existing clients in their projects, and to develop new business opportunities with an expanding client base. Brian McAnoy can be contacted on 07973 657445 and brian@pwmail.co.uk

Non Domestic Energy Assessments
Eimear Martin

Povall Worthington has recently invested in Commercial Energy Assessment where we now have on board a qualified commercial energy assessor.

Eimear Martin is qualified to undertake surveys on level 3 buildings and within the coming month will complete training for level 4.

Today an EPC is required for commercial premises that are for sale or to let, as well as new constructions, with a stand alone size greater than 50sqm. There are special circumstances where an EPC is not required for example on places of worship and on temporary buildings.

An EPC provides prospective buyers or tenants with an energy rating of the building, from A to G, where A is the most efficient and G is the least efficient. The rating is based on the performance potential of the building itself and its services i.e. the building fabric and the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems installed. The energy rating given on the certificate reflects the energy performance of the building relative to a benchmark. A recommendations report is also produced along with the EPC, which will provide recommendations on how to use the building more effectively. It will also contain cost effective improvements along with more expensive improvements which help towards improving the building’s energy performance.

For more information on commercial EPC’s or to book a survey please contact eimear@pwmail.co.uk
