International security firm, Securicor, relocated its main cash distribution depot from the centre of Belfast to this purpose built facility in Mallusk, on the outskirts of Belfast. The latest security design considerations were an important aspect of this design.
The ground floor (approx. 3000sqm) incorporates the operation offices, staff facilities, coin storage and vaults. The first floor has a reduced footprint, accommodating further staff facilities and plant, with a void over the coin storage facility.
The building comprises of a structural steel frame, clad with a combination of different materials: brick, blockwork and steel cladding. Internally the office areas have a traditional fit-out of suspended ceilings, painted plastered walls and contract carpet or sheet vinyl.
