BALINAMALLARD - COUNTY FERMANAGH

This dwelling was designed to echo the traditional farm cottages of the area. The starting point was an existing dwelling of a metal-clad timber structure, which was no longer habitable. An Improvement Grant was gained for the upgrading and extension of the building.

The existing building was 're-clad' with cavity blockwork and used to accomodate the bedrooms in the new dwelling. A new lounge & kitchen block was added to the fore to take advantage of open views across countryside and the southerly aspect.
