ORPINSMILL - COUNTY ANTRIM

Located near the village of Doagh, the building owner wanted to realize the potential of these redundant farm buildings by redeveloping it as a small residential cluster.

The existing buildings were positioned in a courtyard fashion with access via a gated archway. Dwelling accommodation was located in one corner and a variety of sheds and barns to the sides and rear.

Sections of the existing walls were rebuilt and new minor additions were emphasized rather than ‘hidden’ and render finish was applied. Replacement floors were provided at ground and first floor level and a total re-roofing required.

Planning Service, Landscape Section and Roads Service each identified specific requirements which were successfully integrated into the final build.
