Bridge End is is a major element of the east quarter of Belfast's riverside and is framed by railway and major city centre approach roadways.
The design consists of two vertical blocks, containing 175 apartments, joined by a common plinth at low level. An urban garden lies between the vertical blocks introducing life and delight to the hard urban environment.
The plinth features an active street frontage with cafe/retail premises to the corner of station street and entrances to the apartments on bridge end, with car parking at levels -2 to +2 concealed behind. The recessed apartment entrances provide relief at ground level accommodating tree and seating areas.
The apartment facades feature layers of clean modern lines and elements. Projecting glazed balconies present surfaces for reflections, shadows and sparkle, which will enhance the street scene. Receeding upper stories provide terraces and penthouse accomodation whilst defining a specific skyline profile for the towers.
